If they taught them very early that they have a Father who is God and who must come first. He is a Father who is infinitely good and just, all loving, not always ready to punish. His arm is not always raised to strike but rather to bless. He is a God of love. How many children, on their first day of class do not know how to make the sign of the cross, their prayers! These poor little ones do not really know their God, their Father. Many parents say that a child cannot learn everything at once and that we must not overburden the intelligence of the child. Yet, these dear little souls have sometimes a remarkable intelligence in understanding things that an adult cannot understand with all his science and talents. Everything is so simple for a child. He does not complicate his life. If at times a danger looms over his head, he is not concerned. He continues to play and sleep peacefully. He trusts in his father. Why not direct this confidence towards Us, towards his heavenly Father who can give him everything out of love?”
